The Fiber Industry Development Authority celebrated its 30th Anniversary in simple rites last Wednesday, 27 July, at Sunnymede IT Center in Quezon City.
Rev. Fr. Marcelo L. Pamintuan, Jr., chaplain of the Philippine Heart Center, celebrated the Holy Mass in the morning where he congratulated everyone and enjoined them to continue their dedicated service to the Filipino people especially the fiber farmers.
There was a simple program of games and songs as well as inspirational messages from DA Usec. Joel S. Rudinas, Undersecretary for Field Operations, Administrator Cecilia Gloria J. Soriano, Deputy Administrators Josephine B. Regalado and Elizabeth R. Tortosa.
FIDA was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 709 on 27 July 1981 and is under the administrative supervision of the Department of Agriculture (DA.)
