          The Authority continued to implement its abaca disease eradication project and encouraged farmers in affected areas to participate in the project. In 2010, the FIDA focused its abaca disease operation in the 25 barangays of Sogod, So. Leyte and 23 barangays in Burauen, Leyte, the areas severely affected by abaca diseases.
