Number of Farm-Workers and the Incentive Cost
  • The Project hired 9 farm-workers per barangay generally recommended by the barangay chairman. The farm owner-beneficiary or his representative was considered the 10th farm worker;






  • The farm-owner is replaced in succession by other farm-owners or their representatives whose farms are to be covered also by virus eradication activities;





  • Incentive Cost - P1,500.00 per hectare of effective area of the abaca farm was given as incentive. It is equally divided per hectare of effective area, provided the farm owner or his representative worked in his farm jointly with other farm workers during the virus eradication activities.

Providing Incentive to Farm Workers and
Abaca Farm Owners by Target Barangays
  • Project management provided incentive to farm workers and abaca farm owners/or their representatives at P1,500.00 per hectare of effective area divided equally;
  • The criteria for the selection of Farm Workers are:
    1. Residing within the area to be treated;
    2. If possible, not more than 50 years old;
    3. Male or female;
    4. Farm-workers with open wound and other skin problems shall not be allowed;
    5. Has a Residence Tax Certificate; and
    6. Literate (reached atleast grade 3 level.
